Cheryl
has been behind the lens of a camera since childhood, which may
explain why she appears in so few photographs! She graduated summa
cum laude from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts, and has completed numerous photography workshops. Having worked
as a public relations professional for over 10 years, she has photographed
countless events and programs, and has developed her own unique
photojournalistic style. Cheryl enjoys the human element in photography, and
seeks to capture the mood and personality of her subjects, whether
they're people or pets. Her favorite photographic subject, however,
is nature, and she can often be seen sneaking up on flowers and
insects at various locations in Southern Illinois, or even in her
own backyard. |
| Photography
is something that I've always been in love with. When I turned 5,
my father, a professional photographer in Chicago, gave me my first
camera, a Brownie. I immediately began scurrying around capturing
unsuspecting subjects and remember being quite amused with the results.
My interest in photography continued as I grew up with yearbook
shootings and camera club activities mixed in with my musical pursuits,
trumpet, guitar, drums. During my numerous years at Southern Illinois
University I was fortunate to take several courses in photography,
advertising design and radio/television. I served as an associate
in the university's Graphic Design and Marketing Department and
worked with the Director of the University Museum to preserve its
photographic collections. Ultimately, however, I had to leave SIU
after being a perpetual student with too may degrees, including
an MPA and JD. Fast forward to 2007 and here I am thrilled to be
working in this creative profession once again along side my wife
Cheryl an artistic and technical genius. When it comes to photography,
I endeavor to create images that invoke the viewer's imagination
and truly capture the spirit of the subject, whether it be alive
or still. I look forward to working with you to fulfill your visual
goals!! |
